Villa Rufolo
The original building of the villa dates back to the 13th century. It was then renovated during the nineteenth century several times, up to the version that we can admire today. Overall the villa offers a unique scenery, full of signs of its history. The Villa has become famous in the world as it hosts, among other events, the Ravello Music Festival that sees artists of international caliber arrive on the Amalfi Coast every year.
Villa Cimbrone
Villa Cimbrone is a historic building that dates back to the 11th century, although the villa and its gardens were intensely renovated by an English nobleman, Lord Grimthorpe, in the early 20th century.. Built on a rocky promontory overlooking the Amalfi Coast, part of the property is now used as a hotel. The area that can be visited is largely occupied by a park adorned with statues, antiquities, fountains and caves, as well as a lookout (the Terrace of Infinity) overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, considered one of the most suggestive in the world.
